Bundaberg Park

Guest Post – New Life on the Road

There are many wonderful kids Parks in Australia. The other day New Life on the Road family went into a Bundaberg Park that had been under water in the January floods (in 2011). It was a huge park that had been fenced off so that renovations could be carried out to the equipment. With four of our boys we usually go to Bundaberg Park while we are in town, especially for our youngest boy Kyle as he loves to explore and we love to watch him expand his energy!

Bundaberg Park Discovered

Bundaberg ParkWe have been driving past the Bundaberg Park so many times while we have been on errands for our Motorhome. Did you know how confusing Bundaberg City Centre is for finding shops and parts? Especially when David sends me to find a particular shop with a particular part for the inside repairs of our Bus!

Each time we drive past the Park we have a look to see if the fences are taken down, and the renovations are complete so that we can stop and check it out.

Early last week we drove past again, and we noticed the protective fences were gone! Yippee we could now stop and let our boys explore a Bundaberg Park that they have not played in before. To see how much fun our two younger boys had in the Baldwin Swamp Bundaberg City Council Park I thought I would share a video of our afternoon out….

The only issue we had with the Bundaberg Park was our two younger boys, Cameron and Kyle, did not want to leave! They kept playing, and having so much fun discovering the playground equipment so much so that it was getting dark by the time we pulled out of the parking area to head home.

Many Different Parks Over The Years

Bundaberg ParkWith having five boys we have been to our fair share of kids parks over the years! Many of the Parks have play ground equipment that are fun, but are the standard from one park to the other park. The Baldwin Swamp Bundaberg City Council Park had a huge variety of playground equipment. From climbing a Spider Web frame, to a train that our boys loved pretending was real, to a Cane Cutters Café, to a General Store, Bike Track, Mirror Maize to even information Boards around the walking tracks that gave detailed information about how and who were the first people to settle in Bundaberg.

If there was a rating system for Bundaberg Parks then this one would get a 10/10 for the best entertainment for Dads, Kids, Mums, Grandparents…it’s a Bundaberg Park that caters for everyone!

Thanks for letting us share our fun day out.

Cheers

Lisa from New Life on the Road.

    Hi Lisa

Thanks so much for the guest post, it was wonderful. Bundaberg Park, what a great place to take the children for a fun day out, I can see why it is so popular. If we are ever up that way, we will go and have a look.

  3. This Bundaberg Park looks perfect for 4 boys to run their energy off. Its so good to see the council putting parks like this up for families to spend time together for free.

    Hi Jackie

With all the high rises and computer games. Councils need to make sure there a plenty of enticing parks for the children to want to get outdoors and play.
